The Northern Strand Community Trail runs through the heart of Malden, providing easy access to many areas in Malden, as well as Everett.

Malden has access to the Orange Line (mbta.com/schedules/orange ) at Malden Center and Oak Grove station, and access to the Haverhill commuter rail (mbta.com/schedules/cr-haverhill/line) at Malden Center.
